Duo - Sign-up Not Working

Issue/Question

  • I can't sign up for Duo - it says "Enter a Bypass Code"

Environment

  • Oregon State University
  • Employee, Student or Associate
  • ONID Account
  • Duo

Resolution

If Duo sign-up was not successful, you may get stuck at a screen asking you to enter a bypass code. To resolve the issue:

  1. Wait 1 hour
  2. Visit technology.oregonstate.edu/service/duo and try the sign-up process again
  3. Please make sure to complete all sign-up steps; you need to login with Duo once (via passcode or Duo push) to complete the setup
